Who are the Khmer Kroms?

 Khmer Krom are the indigenous people of the Mekong Delta of Southern Vietnam called Kampuchea-Krom (meaning Lower Cambodia). They are ethnically Khmer and are devotee of Theravada Buddhist.

Most Khmer Krom can speak both Khmer and Vietnamese and have good relationship with Cambodian as well as Vietnamese. A vast majority of Khmer Krom in Kampuchea-Krom are traditionally involve in primary productions. For more details please read Kampuchea-Krom Brief History.

By some estimate, there are over eight millions Khmer Krom currently living in the Mekong Delta.
